Aluminium does not require any maintenance to be done. It does not require any oiling or sanding and there is no fear of the climate affecting the product. It also comes glazed.

Meranti works out cheaper than aluminium even with the glass included 9 out of 10 times. It depends on the section of timber you choose, heavier sections will cost more. Meranti does require regular maintenence to make sure it doesnt warp or crack. It is imperative that you consider how much exposure to the elements the doors will have, we do not recommend exposing our doors to full sun. The darker the doors are painted the more heat they will absorb and the more maintenance the door will require. Black doors can be 10 degrees hotter than doors painted white.
