Care & Maintenance of Meranti

Meranti products need to be cared for. They need to be protected from the harsh environment is South Africa. If adequate care is not provided it will result in and assist with the degredation of the product. On delivery of the product the goods must be oiled to protect them from the elements. We do have a transit sealer on the products, but this is not enough. The goods will require 2 - 3 more coats of the clients oil. We recommend silk wood. Doors must always be stored flat. Failure to treat the goods on all 6 sides does affect the warranty of the product.
